More foxes, more sad, more sap sap sap. I have to draw something really badass now to balance this gallery. Anyway, these ones aren't new characters or anything, just random foxes. I threw in a simplistic digital background because I found a plain white one ruined the mood of the picture.
To tell you the truth, I can't honestly tell whether or not this is done in colored pencil only or marker / colored pencil combo!
I like very much the consistency of your colored pencil work in this one. You did a very nice job. I also like that you took the time to put in a background - it's much less boring than plain white paper. Gloomy skies fits the mood of the piece quite well also. I think you could possibly have done a little bit more in terms of shading - everything feels kinda flat, but... meh. Who knows? Maybe this is what you were going for (or maybe you should just say that this is what you were going for )
Is the adult supposed to be one of your characters, or just a random fox?
They don't really. They can get sort of...pouty I guess you could say, like dogs. The tear was just from the sketch, and it would've looked as awkward to remove it as to leave it there.

Pencil only. And he's sort of random. I may include him in some other pictures, but he's not part of the larger fox story with Pinita and Tristan or anything. As for the flatness, I think having a digital background exacerbated that problem. Next time I'll use more black though.
